About the Wine
Negroamaro
neg-row-ah-mah-ro
Negroamaro is valued for its deep color, medium-full tannins and dark berryfruit flavors. It is mildly aromatic and can produce complex wines.
Flavours:
- Black Cherry
- Black Plum
- Blackberry
- Dried Thyme
- Prune
Walter Zuccotto wished to produce some classic Italian varietal wines, showing the pure traditional character of the grape, but married with the benefits of modern wine making. So Amodo was created to showcase this vision. He chose the region of Terre Di Chieti and the Pecorino grape for the white, a long forgotten variety from Abruzzo, which is now enjoying something of a revival.
