MC Rewards Terms and Conditions

  1. Who We Are

The MC Rewards Platform is offered by Matthew Clark Bibendum Limited (“MCB”), a company registered in England, with company number 02550982 and has its address at Pavilion 2 The Pavilions, Bridgwater Road, Bristol, England, BS99 6ZZ.

  1. The Platform

2.1         These terms and conditions will explain how you can earn and redeem points using our Matthew Clark Rewards Platform (“MC Rewards”). To participate in MC Rewards, all terms and conditions must be accepted. We reserve the right to amend or update these terms and conditions from time to time.

2.2         By registering for a MC Rewards account, you are taken to have read and accepted these terms.

  1. Qualifying Criteria

3.1         MC Rewards is only available to qualifying customers within England and Wales, who order via Matthew Clark Live, our e-commerce platform, available here: Order Drinks Online - Wholesale Alcohol | Matthew Clark Live. Only one membership per outlet is permitted.

3.2         Membership is open to independent free trade customers only. In order to be a qualifying customer, you must be a regional customer account with fewer than 5 outlets.

3.3         Membership of MC Rewards is personal to you. You may not share or transfer your points. For those customers with more than one outlet, points are individual to the outlet and may not be combined.

3.4         You must maintain an active membership to earn and redeem points.

3.5         Should it become apparent at any point that you no longer meet, or fall out with, the qualifying criteria, you will no longer be able to earn and accrue points under the MC Rewards platform. Should this occur, you will be notified and will have 30 days to redeem existing points, before these points are forfeited.

  1. How to Earn Points

4.1         You can earn points by purchasing eligible products through Matthew Clark Live. The number of points per eligible product(s) shall vary based on the deal and you can view point earning products and deals on MC Rewards platform. Deals are subject to change and we reserve the right to end deals at any time.

4.2         Points will be awarded for each eligible, points earning, transaction, which should be made via Matthew Clark Live.

4.3         From time to time, we may run special promotions and award additional points. We reserve the right to limit how many promotional points can be awarded to any one account.

4.4         Your point balance will be displayed within your MC Rewards account. Your points balance may not be updated immediately when you make a qualifying purchase. It may take up to 7 days before the points show in your account and you are able to redeem them.

  1. Things that can reduce your points balance

5.1         Your MC Rewards points balance may be reduced when:

(i) You redeem your points for credit.

(ii) Points were incorrectly allocated to your points balance.

(iii) There has been unauthorised transactions from your account for which you are not liable.

(iv) We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity or a breach of these terms and conditions.

5.2         When points decrease, this will be displayed by your updated points value within your MC Rewards account. The points value will be calculated using the rate at which the points were originally allocated.

  1. Redeeming MC Reward Points

6.1         Points may be redeemed in the form of credit which will be credited to your MCB customer account following your request to redeem. You can request to redeem via the MC Rewards platform by clicking the redeem option, once this option becomes available (see Clause 6.2). 

6.2         You may redeem this credit from 15 January 2024 onwards, provided you have accumulated a minimum of 10,000 points (equivalent to £100). Your MCB customer account will be credited within 14 days of your request to redeem.

6.3         You may redeem a maximum of £1,000 of credit at any one time. You may not redeem points should you have any outstanding debt on your MC Live account.

  1. Expiration of Points

7.1         All points must be claimed, and credit redeemed by 31st December 2024. All unclaimed points as of 31st December 2024 shall be cleared (however those purchased within the three months prior of this date shall not expire for a further three months).

7.2         Closure of your account will result in immediate expiry of any unused points. These points will be immediately forfeited and cannot be reactivated upon creating a new account.

7.3         If the MC Rewards Platform is terminated by us, we will notify you of how long you have to use remain points/redeem credit before final expiration.

  1. Termination

8.1         We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, discontinue, or cancel part or the whole of this MC Live Platform upon 14 days written notice posted on MC Rewards Platform (the “Termination Notice”). No further points shall be earned following the Termination Notice. You may redeem and transfer already earned points into credit for up to 30 days after the date of the Termination Notice. Points not redeemed thereafter will be forfeited.

8.2         Where we give notice of such termination, we shall have no liability beyond crediting your MC Live account in line with the points value held on your MC Rewards account at the time of such termination.

8.3         You may close down your MC Rewards account at any time by contacting mcpromotions@matthewclark.co.uk.

  1. Liability

9.1         Nothing in these Terms shall limit any liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or any other liability which cannot legally be limited.

9.2         We shall, subject to clause 9.1, under no circumstances be liable for any loss of anticipated profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, business interruption, any economic loss, any indirect, special or consequential loss or for any third party claims howsoever arising either from breach or non-performance of any of our obligations under these terms.

9.3         Our total liability to you, subject to clause 9.1, shall not exceed the total credit value of the points held by you at the time at which the liability arises.

  1. Personal Information

10.1       By signing up to MC Rewards, we will need to collect, hold, use, and disclose information about you in connection with your account, points, and rewards. Information will include certain personal information (such as the name and email address associated with your Matthew Clark Live account) and transaction information relating to points earned and requests for points redemption.

10.2       We will use this information for the purposes of MC Rewards to provide rewards to you.

10.3       We may disclose this information to others in connection to MC Rewards including to our service providers, engaged for the purpose of the administration and running of our MC Rewards platform.

  1. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These terms and conditions and any related disputes are subject to English law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
